Please consider the detrimental effect that digital signs have in Butte County! We live in Northern California and should be able to avoid some of the negative distractions that occur in big cities. Please do not approve any more digital signs.

I am against allowing digital billboard signs in Butte County. They are a huge distraction to drivers and their glowing messages radiate a long ways, much farther than the property that the sign is placed on. It's like a moth to a flame, the digital billboards draw your attention away from the road. Creating light pollution 24 hours a day is not preserving and enhancing our scenic rural and open spaces. Please do not allow additional billboards to be converted to digital ones. Thank you~ Julia Keener

I'm a Chico resident and I've noticed at least 2 electronic billboards in town and as a driver I've found them to be very distracting and therefore dangerous. Visually they are ugly and an eyesore. I advocate for there to be a limit on this form of advertising going forward.
