The Butte County Operational Area has been allocated $177,188 by the California Office of Emergency Services through the Fiscal Year 2022 Emergency Management Performance Grant Program, to support activities that contribute to the mitigation, prevention, preparation, response, and recovery of emergencies and disasters whether natural or human-caused. Participation in this grant would require a match and would reimburse 50% of eligible emergency management expenses up to $177,188. The grant and required match is included in the Fiscal Year 2022-23 Adopted Budget. Approval of the resolution authorizes the Office of Emergency Management to apply for the grant and also gives authorization to the Chief Administrative Officer, Assistant Chief Administrative Officer, and Deputy Administrative Officers, to sign grant documents.
