In order for the Butte County Operational Area to apply for grant funds from the California Office of Emergency Services, the Board of Supervisors must adopt a resolution authorizing the Emergency Services Officer to apply. The resolution would also authorize the Chief Administrative Officer, Assistant Chief Administrative Officer, Deputy Chief Administrative Officers, and the Emergency Services Officer to sign grant documents. The Butte County Operational Area has been allocated $92,284 by the California Office of Emergency Services through the FY 2020 Emergency Management Performance Grant Program Supplemental to support activities that contribute to the mitigation, prevention, preparation, response, and recovery from COVID-19. County Administration recommends approval of a budget adjustment to recognize $92,248 in unanticipated grant revenue and increase appropriations to support eligible grant activities.
